Found this, last night: a self-made promo video for Rufus Jones and Alex Kirk's father-son double act thing from Edinburgh last year. Got excellent reviews. I wish I'd seen it.

*heart breaks*

Just saw this video of Bam crying at the crash site and saying he'd had some kind of premonition that the accident had happened.

Made me cry again. So sad.

Edit: The trailer to Living Will:

It actually looks like a really cute film.

So much nnnngh.

Shemar/Matthew: canon. Great naval fleets of it.

For the lulz.

From [livejournal.com profile] lillystars:

Put your MP3player or stereo random. The songs which play in the following order represent...

1. The song which plays during: Opening Credits
2. The song which plays when: You Kill Your First Zombie
3. The song which plays when: You Are Being Chased By A Horde
4. The song which plays when: You Have To Kill Your Loved One
5. The song which plays when: You Find A Group Of Survivors
6. The song which plays when: You Meet A New Love Interest
7. The song which plays when: You Make A Final Stand
8. The song which plays when: You Think You've Survived It All
9. The song which plays when: You Discover A Bite Mark
10. The song which plays during: The Closing Credits

My results (edited for more info):

1. Meatloaf, 'A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing to Waste' This was mislabelled in my phone, it was actually 'You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth', which starts like this.
2. The Damned Things, 'Black Heart' <- Totally spot on. Lyrics in the video.
3. The Academy Is, 'Down and Out'
4. Fall Out Boy, 'Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy? - acoustic'
5. Motion City Soundtrack, 'Time Turned Fragile' - "I wonder of your whereabouts and hope like hell you're happy where you are/You used to say that you're just fine/But I still wonder all the time."
6. Florence+the Machine, 'Dog Day Are Over'
7. Four Year Strong, 'Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die' <- HA. Perfect track.
8. Laura Veirs, 'Galaxies'
9. U2, 'Angel of Harlem'
10. Spitalfield, 'Simple Minds, Simple Lives'

FOR THE L'AWWWW.

Okay, so I'm frantically looking for the old SGA fanvids we used to love. I've found the amazing [livejournal.com profile] skroberts' Mad World in my Gmail (♥) but I would still really love to find copies of these ones:

- Johnny Feelgood
- Wicked Game (the original McShep one)
- Running Up That Hill (the Placebo cover of the Kate Bush song)
- Falling For the First Time
- Here's to the Little Guys (a vid about all the secondaries in the series)
- Collide (by [livejournal.com profile] tiranog - I don't remember this one, but Julie does)

We've also just found some fucking ridiculous conversations we once had in which we named Joseph May "Squishpuppet" and "He Of The Face So Gay There Are Eight Colours In His Pride Rainbow."

Boyan, on the other hand, was "An Argyle Cardigan. For Rock Climbing In."

There may also have been a conversation about how the Serbian Orthodox Church was essentially a Bloody Mary cocktail.

Forgot to post this, yesterday, but that skydive I'm doing to raise money for Jumping For Heroes got the girls who are doing it a mention from the real Bill Guarnere and Babe Heffron. Mind blown.

If you can't see my last post and are interested in knowing more or want to sponsor me, let me know.

New fandom.

This video is amazing because hardly any of it is taken out of context:

This is my favourite song in the entire world, right now. The video is hilarious in its sincerity, and disappointing in its almost total lack of Joe Weiss and Jake Massucco (even though Merch Josh gets to play the surgeon).

Watch for the hair ad hair flick in the background early on. Also note Dan's angst-ridden wibble over the surgeon's table. DON'T LEAVE ME, ALAN!

I love this band so much it makes my spine tingle.

Listen to what Joe says from about 7 mins and right before the end of the first video.

Also, that bitch won't stop talking! It's awesome!

WHAT THE SHIT IS THIS?!?!? IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S MADE FROM MILLIONS OF KITTEN TAILS!! DDDDDDDDDD:

Even Patrick cannot save you from the motherfucking creepiness of this thing!

Catch me if you can...

Well, bugger me sideways.

The video is actually better than the song! This is both shocking (because, y'know: track record=not good) and not (because, y'know: I fucking loathe that track).

I felt that old rush of love I used to feel a few years ago, and slightly fangirly in a way I haven't since before Hurley broke the fourth wall and started trying to get me to introduce him to people I've known for ages. :|

Patrick, who shall henceforth be known as the Bird Man of Boatcatraz, is precious. We knew this, I understand, but he has made sure that we are aware that he's still on his game. Also: still ageing backwards. By the time the next album comes out, the fourteen year olds asking him to marry them are going to be going on the paedo register.

But. But. The giggle - the genuine giggle that you couldn't have scripted, you guys! So precious! Patrick Stump will always over produce your record SAVE THE DAY. For serious.

Okay. All excited out, now, need to lie down. Too old for this shit.

Nostalgia.

Reminds me of a cross between this video:

And this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4T7c-KK03ts

That last shot of Richard looking so young and wide-eyed before it cuts back to Brett, near the end is just so haunting...

You are all homos.

"Fidelity": Don't Divorce... from Courage Campaign on Vimeo.

couragecampaign.org/divorce

Ken Starr, who led the campaign to impeach President Bill Clinton, filed a legal brief last month -- on behalf of the "Yes on 8" campaign -- that would forcibly divorce 18,000 same-sex couples that were married in California last year before the passage of Prop 8.

Watch "Fidelity" and sign our letter to the state Supreme Court. Tell the Supreme Court to invalidate Prop 8, reject Ken Starr's case, and let loving, committed couples marry. DEADLINE: Valentine's Day.

This is an issue that is deeply important to me - please take the time to sign this petition - whether you are directly affected by it or not.

Don't let this man ban love.

Most of you probably know I have hardly any contact with my family, so I don't know much about what's going on in my brother's life. I knew he was in a band called Digital Bob, but I did not know they'd actually been recording stuff and playing festivals and shit (even small festivals).

This is a video of them in the studio. Cristian is the first person you see.

I know my brother, and this whole thing absolutely smacks of his style. I can probably dig out recordings of their old stuff, from before he ever went to Uni, and it sounds like the same band, minus keyboards. He's had a huge part of writing this stuff, I swear it.

Their MySpace is here. This is their website.

Oh. And he kind of looks like Jake Gyllenhaal, sometimes (he's on the left). Also: he's been playing that same guitar since he was about 11.
