hey,i'm an ocasional lurker (psst add me please?) but this post sparked my interest. here is my opinion: maybe they are just tired of people assumeing that they know them. like "oh patrick is a good guy he'd never do that. Alot of things change between 16 and 18 let alone 16 and 23. He's probably not the same kid he was back then. maybe he's trying to prove some sort of point. which by the way, is kind of dumb to do, once you break edge you can't really claim to be straight edge agian. I know first hand, straight edge sence i was 12, broke edge to smoke pot at 16 because no one thought i would, stoped doing that around 18, now i wish i could be edge again, i hate haveing to admit that i did that. in conclusion.... perhaps it's a phase that he's getting out of his system now, because he didn't have the chance to really do so before
