Today a US Airways plane made an emergency landing in the Hudson River in NY today. Everyone got out alive thanks to the cool thinking of the pilot. He lost both engines (they think due to birds) and turned the plane and brought it in on the river just like a taxiway. Spectators rescued a lot of passengers onto ferry boats.
