Darren told me they're going to DVD it as well. Glorious. I hope there are tons of outtakes because Rufus said that they had a ton of fun just randomly breaking into impersonations and I would give my soul to marry Jones the Wife see that.
I now have the most massive and ridiculous crush on Rufus Jones, as well. I can't even.
The whole thing was like brilliant, televised crackfic. Slash crackfic. As I said on Rufus's blog, "what I would imagine you'd get if you'd sat the Pythons down and made them affectionately scribble take-offs of each other on beermats. I've seen it criticised as "a caricature" but that's exactly what made it so great - quite aside from the exceptional portrayals from all of the cast - it was almost The Pythons as you'd explain them to someone who was unfamiliar with them. Or perhaps the perception of the Pythons the person you'd just tried to explain them to would get once they'd unpicked all the fanboying?"
I have seen it four times, so far. Tonight, I will probably watch the third repeat. I have it downloaded and I have it saved on my Sky box. I cannot get enough of this.
Dear God, I hope someone starts writing slash before I have to. I want to explain how Jones the Wife is actually a sort of hallucination and really it's just Terry and there's no floral housecoat at all, but that it's all part of this illusion they maintain and Mike's mother totally knows about it. Or alternatively, that it's some sort of terribly sweet roleplay...
