[Poll #1082435]

Humour me, and I'll explain in the next few days.

My answer would probably mean the gig is up on this...

[identity profile] rosiedoes.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Um. Whuh?

[identity profile] anjak-j.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
Because I can flip between it moving clockwise or anti-clockwise...

[identity profile] blacknarcissus2.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
She changes direction for me so I can't say. She STARTED being clockwise, but every time I look away she changes direction. I can't make her do it consciously though.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY!

Yeah, so can I when I focus on it.

It's the way it most naturally turns or which it was first turning that matters.

I can do it without focusing on it...when I first looked at it, it was moving anti-clockwise...however, when I scrolled back up to it, without even consciously thinking about it, it was moving clockwise.

I struggle to get her to change directions, she primarily turns clockwise for me.

[identity profile] anjak-j.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Glad to know it isn't just me...

[identity profile] apple.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
That's me, too. Once I get her to change, it's hard for me to get her back.

(I know the secret to this, though, and I was kind of surprised by the answer I got the first time I ever tried, but it's a wicked cool thing.)

[identity profile] nikitaquincy.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
I keep coming back to this and she only turns clockwise for me.

I'm flattered this amused you enough to post on your own journal. :)

I'm surprised how many people see it flip back and forth. My brother wrote me back in an e-mail saying that it was an amusing idea, but obviously it was cheating since it kept changing direction every few seconds.

At first she was totally going right to left. Then she was going left to right. Now I can change her at my will. (looking at the shadows at the bottom is the way to do that, not the dancer).

[identity profile] moondarri.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
frustrating! & mesmerising. i could only look at her turn twice (clockwise) before i looked away because it was making me twitch.

[identity profile] rifle.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I just made her change directions - I'm so proud.

[identity profile] keesani.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
counter-clockwise - the shadow only goes one way :P

[identity profile] madscientist77.livejournal.com 2007-11-04 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I only ever see her go one way?? Always thought I was strange!

[identity profile] trodders.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, you've just fried my brain for a good twenty minutes.
She starts off going clockwise for me everytime, but I've worked out how to make her switch :P

[identity profile] ballytivnan.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
after 26 turns she switches. does this have something to do with first impressions??

[identity profile] eyerenderingfan.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
why does she have to be naked?
XD

[identity profile] mylexie.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
For me she only wants to turn widdershins for some reason..
