Well, I guess I can't back out now!

Forgot to post this, yesterday, but that skydive I'm doing to raise money for Jumping For Heroes got the girls who are doing it a mention from the real Bill Guarnere and Babe Heffron. Mind blown.

If you can't see my last post and are interested in knowing more or want to sponsor me, let me know.

When I watch Band of Brothers, the bit that makes me cry the most is the narration at the end, telling us how they lived out their lives, going back to jobs on the railroad, or as taxi drivers or teachers. A lot of them went on to care for others or teach.

I reminds you that they were - or are - all very real people who never really felt like heroes. Their modesty and their humility should be an example to us all.

I'm sorry you lost your friend, hon; hopefully the money raised will help others with her condition.

I think that is the greatest thing about these men - their humility, that they never expected great acknowledgement. I think too many people these days forget that there are more important things in life and reasons for doing things than money or acclaim. People today would do well to watch, see these men and reassess what is actually important.

Thanks. I really do hope that I live to see one of the days she dreamed of, when CF = Cure Found.
