Can I just say, and I don't really meta the Atlantis stuff here, but it needs to be said - I genuinely love Ronon Dex.

I love him the way I love my JJ: a big squishy softy who I can acknowledge is hot, but really just adore in a platonic fashion.

I've loved seeing him grow since season two (and I liked him straight away, even though I regarded him as a replacement for Ford, who genuinely was one of my favourite characters); I've loved seeing him go from wildman to Big Squishy ~~George~~ Jack of the Jungle and see him start to really feel at home in Atlantis.

I love how he loves his team, how he'd do anything for them and how happy they make him. I love how he treats Radek like a person, not a geek, and how he may be the most sagittarian Sagittarius to ever have cantered down the pike, but really, he's a little Leocub inside. I love how he cuts the crap and doesn't dumb-down so much as demand a straight answer.

I love the way he smiles like a dork at people he cares about and how soft he is with them - but how he's actually really kickass and a pissy bitch when he wants to be.

I LOVE HIM.
