Fuckfuckfuck.

I don't want to be a scaremonger but I swear I have just seen a plane in trouble.

It was really low over the streets where I live, being buffetted by turbulence really badly and then it banked hard to the left and sank into a cloud over Crouch End.

If I'm right, and it was in trouble (and I've never seen a plane fly like that since I watched fourteen year olds in Bulldogs, out at Benson), it may have been aiming for Hampstead Heath.

I feel really fucking shaken, right now.

When I flew into London yesterday it was pretty rough. But we made it. The weather is a bit bumpy now.

Nothing is coming up on BBC news, so I really hope so.

It just gave such a massive jolt at one point... and there are no airfields in this part of London, so I have no idea why it was here.

If it was a major passenger plane, I'd imagine something would be coming up, at least in the next half hour.

So, probably nothing to worry about, although the hairs on my arms went up when I read your post, because a whole bunch of ambulances went by at the same time, but I'm in a very different part of London, just the timing.

Well Budgens and Tesco in Crouch End were in the midst of a power cut when I got there at 6.15ish, but I don't think that's related. It would have been on the news by now.
