You know what I really hate? When a song starts brilliantly - and then the intro stops and the sound changes entirely.

Also: it sounds like Robyn.

Listen to the intro to this:

Honestly, I'm not all that impressed with the album, and I've already listened to it 3 times. I'm hoping it'll grow on me, and maybe once I have the physical copy in my hands, it'll be different.

I'm glad I downloaded it though, I would have been disappointed if I'd waited to buy it when it came out.

I like it.

And the thing is - everything you hate, I like about it. I think it's because we probably have a largely different taste in music. I like the bluegrass thing; it took me by surprise, but I love it, because I actually like that kind of music.

I totally got how "20 Dollar Nose Bleed" sounds a bit too much like Panic, but I thought the same thing about some songs on IOH, and I still loved them, so. *shrug*

I don't think it has anything to do with me being "more invested in the people than the music". I understand the way you feel; if they were to start delving into any of the genres I didn't like, then that would definitely be the album I didn't listen to. Also, I guess I haven't been a fan long enough to feel nostalgic over the way they used to sound, though I've gotta say - EOWYG and TTTYG are jointly my favourite Fall Out Boy albums, if it means anything.

I respect that you don't like it, and I totally understand why.

I think I'm rambling. =(

Anyway, I don't know if you'd care, but just because I want to get it out there, my favourite song is definitely "She's My Winona". =)
