X-Men: First Class

I've been waiting for this film, but I went into it not totally expecting it to be awesome.

The short of it: I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a much more rounded plot than Thor, and it serves well as the first film of an arc - enough exposition without being all exposition.

Plenty of slashigay for us to enjoy as well.

Planning on seeing it again, and that's all I'll say. Go see it.

Hey, is this the same X-Men with Wolverine and gang? There's pretty much only one X-men...just that I thought the last one where Jean died was the last one. Or maybe because it was so awful I thought it *should* have been the last one...but oh, now I may want to see this new one.

This is the prequel - set largely in the 60s. Definitely the same universe, though. :) If you like the original movies, you should definitely see these.

If you're into the boylove, you'll really like the origin of the Erik/Charles relationship.

I just saw it and drooled over Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence. They were both magnificently delicious. Not that everyone else sucked, but those two definitely stood out for me.

Oh, you know I am. Hell, I SOB at the end of Brokeback Mountain every time. Will definitely go see this.

It's practically canon. There's a point where it honestly appears that Charles is offering to toss Erik off to help him focus.
