So, with six weeks to Chicago (OMFGGSGQGGHBKbYHiKKHwwvfswjcos!!!), I've decided it's a good deadline for some weightloss. I'm aiming for two dress sizesish - from a 16-18 to a 12-14.

In the past two days I've done pretty well: banana for breakfast; bean salads for lunch, today with a hard boiled egg; plain rice with lemon and chicken stock in the evening (which I love), today with some sweetcorn in it. To drink I have had water with lemon in (no sugar as you would have in lemonade), which I also really enjoy.

I have had nothing fizzy, no sweets, no bread, one cappuccino with powdered milk from the coffee machine.

I just poured myself a glass of Coke, had a sip and then realised what I was doing and poured it down the sink.

I'm really super busy over the next few weekends, as well (shopping with Jasmine & Saffron, the kiddie cousins, this weekend; Lib coming to stay next weekend; two nights of investigations the next week; Funeral for a Friend with Lib the week after; an investigation in Nottingham the week after than and then Chicago!) so I won't be sitting around vegetating. I don't have much time for a lot of exercise, but there will be sit ups, press-ups and things.

I know that with a deadline I can do this. And then I shall have to spend money on new jeans, but hell, it'll be worth it.
