Americans, or people who have travelled to America: your input, please.

Julie, (possibly) Matte and I are considering a roadtrip across America. The current idea is to start at San Francisco, head down to LA, then visit the Grand Canyon before heading - via and undecided route - to New York, via Chicago.

The question is, does anyone have any place they think we should visit between the Grand Canyon and Chicago?

We're going to hire a car (convertible=super tempting) and it will probably be in Spring, around Easter to maximise the number of days off from work we can get.

Any suggestions?

Just a note:

Sometimes, I'm nice enough to humour people even while they give me reason to think they're very, very strange; I don't often choose to hurt people's feelings. Don't flatter yourself in thinking that means I like you. Don't mistake my tolerating your presence for friendship.

I have no qualms about defriending and blocking people who I don't think pose any positive influence. The fact is, I just don't care enough about most people to suffer their opinions if they irritate me or leave me considering them to be a moron; or if I feel like I need to walk on eggshells in conversation, in order to ensure I don't offend their sensibilities. Life is too short.

These are my journal, my IM programmes and my time. I'll do with them as I please, and that includes cutting you out. Any of you. Make no mistake about that.

And if I block you, it's almost certainly permanent. You've been warned.

Hands up if you think pretending to be something you're not is one of the lamest and most pathetic things a person can do!
