So, the other day, Helen was demanding to know what I wanted for my birthday. Frankly, I don't like asking for stuff or assuming that people are going to buy me anything, so I usually tell people to pick something themselves. But I know some of you, like me, are rubbish at choosing things and hate feeling under pressure to buy something good.
Therefore, below is not so much a wishlist as an idea list. If you're inclined to buy me something and stuck about what to choose, something along these lines would alway be appreciated:
Mead. I love mead. Preferably sweet, and if you can find some interesting variations (I saw raspberry mead online, which sounded interesting) all the better.
Albums. CDs. I currently like Fallout Boy's new stuff and don't have the new My Chemical Romance or Lost Prophet albums. I also only have Brand New's Deja Entendu. And I like Bruce Springsteen.
My favourite colour is green. I especially like things on the teal-side of green.
Office is my favourite shoe shop, Dorothy Perkins my favourite clothes shop. Gift vouchers, however small, are cool.
I'm seriously allergic to non-sterling silver metals, so as much as I love funky jewellery, if you go for that sort of thing, please check the label. And I don't have pierced ears.
WWII or military stuff is FOR THE WIN.
I really don't read much. And I have no desire to. But I do have an obsession with cool notebooks.

The birthday plan remains Lunch at Loch Fyne, around 2pm on Sunday 26th November. This is my actual birthday, hence the unusual times.
It is really important that I know who is coming, especially if you're vegetarian as I will need to let them know some of our party will be wanting their only two vegetarian dishes.
Thanks, kids.
Finally, if you can't do the meal and don't want to do Spamalot at some point, please let me know so I can arrange something else.
