The unfortunate thing about the FBR bands is that there are certain factions who like to think that they're the bands' best friends and some who will go to great lengths to get to them.
Don't get me wrong. I leave comments on Ryland's journal. I hang around after shows and I've met certain bands a couple of times. I don't think this makes me special - it means I had a great opportunity to talk to people I admire. I don't think that the people who have been around long enough to have their first names known by these people are special, either. They're just familiar.
I don't know whether to be amused or appalled; or just whether to pity them. One day they'll look back and feel like idiots.
