For those who missed it before:

Pete's comment about dudes having babies and Patrick's only hope of being a grandfather.

O_o

The best part, is the way Pete kind of frowns as Patrick says it, thinks about it and then is like, "Wait, what?"

Patrick's laugh is so code for, "You're a dead man, Pete, a very dead man."

This was 2 April at Hammersmith - the day I was there.

oh. ok then, nm.

Pete and Patrick didn't go near each other in MN at our HCT date. They didn't even look at each other. Even I could kinda feel the tension. We're pretty sure they were fighting that day.

O_o Oh dear.

Well, maybe we'll see on the next tour. They actually seem to have drifted apart lately. Patrick seems closer to Joe, which is where all the fic is coming from.

yeah, I was worried for awhile, but I think after the Uganda trip and Pete saying they were closer than ever I can rest a little easier.

I'm on the fence about seeing the fall tour considering it's 3 bands that are way overplayed on the radio and the venue would be swarming with teenies, but Mary made a point about how it could quite possibly be our last chance.

Everyone is thinking that at the moment. I don't think they have long left, either.

I don't know what to make of Uganda. I'm hoping that it was a wake up call for Pete and we'll start to see his oldskool self a little more prevalent.

Especially if he moves back to Chi-town.

yeah, I know what you mean about Pete. One can only hope I guess, right?

and as much as I strongly dislike Ashlee as an artist, it's nice to see Pete look genuinely happy for once.

Really? I'm still waiting to see that. He hasn't convinced me, so far.

by the way he talks about it being "the healthiest relationship" he's ever been in and the like. He seems happy to me.

He seems like he's desperately trying to be happy to me.

well, at least trying is better than sitting in a Best Buy parking lot, right?

I don't think you can compare the two.

I don't know. There were times when I didn't even want to try to be happy anymore. I think taking the initiative is better than giving up.

And what about when he realises he's been kidding himself?

then at least he knows he tried. it's better than sitting on the sidelines and waiting for things to happen to you. sometimes you need to take a risk to get to better things. love is one of those risks. sometimes it turns out to be crap and other times it could be the best thing you've ever taken a chance on. in the end, it's better to have known that you at least tried it out rather than wondering "what if?". that's my outlook anyway.
