New rules.

Okay, kids, I seem to have had random people friending me of late, which to a certain extent is cool. Hi. However, I find the prospect of strangers adding me a bit weird - although I've recently been informed that this LJ reads like a Fall Out Boy primer, so I guess it's my own fault.
The thing is, most of my Fall Out Boy posts - the ones intricately connected to bandom - are friends locked (because I'm kind of embarrassed that friends-of-friends do actually lurk). That means, if you want to read them, you need to be on a specific filter. And that means I have to want to add you to my flist.
Here are the facts:
About this journal:
this is my personal journal, not a bandom journal. I do have another for my actual stories, and one for close friends, but this is my main one;
I started this journal trying to hide the fact that I am, and always have been, fascinated by boys being gay for each other (this is called 'slash'). I failed. It's full of happy little gay references;
I do write fic. I do not post it here. Ever. Not even links. (Well... okay, maybe the occasional, heavily filtered snippet...) But I may talk about what I'm doing and if you can find it, you're welcome to friend my fic journal;
sometimes, I will post stuff about RL. It might be venomous. It might be a bland run through of my day. But I don't do it often so don't expect a biography.
About me:
yes, I do use the same username everywhere;
yes, I am the girl with the Trohttoo from FOE;
yes, I am also the girl with the Cobra Starship 'And soon...' tattoo;
yes, I did win the MTV competition to see the HCT in Chicago;
yes, I am the person behind
thnksfrthknkrs and the Church of Projectile Panties;
yes, I am a moderator at the Fuck City Forum;
no, I don't consider myself a 'blogger' (I mean, WTF?!);
no, I do not need my penis enlarged;
I own or co-mod a few communities in various fandoms (including
the_gay_chip and
trohslashstump), but I am most active in the FBR and FOB-orientated communities;
yes, I see dead people and used to be part of an organisation that runs investigations for the general public;
no, I don't care that you don't believe in the weird shit;
honest and frank is the only way I know how to be. I might hurt your feelings. It takes a special kind of moron for me to be deliberately cruel - mostly I'm just tactless - but anyone who is over-sensitive might want to be prepared.
About friending:
if you do not take the time to comment before you add me, I will not add you.
if you're one of the wannabe netcelebs or a celebstalker, I will not add you.
if you can't use half-decent grammar, capital letters or some semblance of intelligence, I will not add you.
if you seem like a decent person, with a readable journal, I can't see any reason why I wouldn't add you.
I hope that's cool. And remember - no comment, no FOB filter.
