Tuesday, 23 October 2007 12:31 pmI want a new tattoo. I don't even know what I want to get, yet, but I want it coming down from my right shoulder and down across the right side of my chest.
Getting out of the shower today, I was looking at my tattoos in the mirror - the one on my right arm, the Cobra, and the jumpwings on the back of my neck - and I just loved them. Just the way they look.
I have the 'thank your lucky stars' tattoo booked for 25th November, with Jay, the girl who did the jumpwings and the 'for the scars and stories'.
After that, I'm getting the wee tree from the cover of The Longue Duree on my left bicep, opposite the Cobra. You can't really see in my icon, but it's a little fruit tree with an hourglass in the trunk. It just makes me think that there are things in the world which are so much more significant than we are - they were here before we were, and they'll be here after I've gone - and it kind of makes all your problems look so trivial.
I just love it, really.
But as for my chest/shoulder... I don't know. (Sensible) suggestions are cool, if you have any. Although the first person to suggest an angel, a rose, a fairy or a butterfly might get a smack in the mouth.
