Dude, no, I wasn't giving you attitude. :/ I obviously misread what you said as like, regret that you loved it so much, and was just... curious, kinda? That curiosity has nothing to do with how much YOU like THIS band or not... it's actually more of a personal quest to figure out what keeps ANY person in a fandom when they don't necessarily feel attached to the new music, and what sustains someone through an album without wandering away... like I did.
Up until a year or two ago, I was still reasonably active in the Hanson fandom, but I just didn't care, at all, about the new album when I heard it. It wasn't my taste remotely and I was bored with it, and they weren't particularly interesting as people to me anymore now that they're all married and dads. So I dropped out. I barely talk to any of my friends in that fandom (a lot of them have moved on as well) and while I still hold their other albums dear to my heart, I can't see myself ever really going back. I missed their first tour ever this month, in favor of multiple Cobra shows in January. I just couldn't spend the money to travel to see music I didn't really love.
So, yeah, I just wonder how people like you who aren't so much into IOH keep the love alive, is all. I guess it's different with a band like FOB who just continue to be interesting regardless of what the music sounds like today. Aaaand I'm ranting, kinda.
