Can I just say, that I really, really, really fucking love Interpol?

Their new video is just... Guh. I spent the vast majority of my 25th birthday listening to Our Love to Admire in the car with shiny_starlight and it was just such a brilliant day. I listen to that album on repeat for hours at work until I feel inclined to do something nihilistic like walk under a bus and I have to make myself stop.

Narc was my 'song' with Vee when we were dating. Hah. Yeah, I know, I should hate them. I first started obsessing on their music (oddly, never the band themselves) when they released Slow Hands, and it remains one of my favourite songs evereverever.

I pimped them to heyginger a while back, and I think you should all go and buy everything by them.

(And before anyone makes assumptions, I loved them before I even knew Troh existed, thank you, and I was listening to Morrissey and Joy Division when he was still in Junion High.

He's a really big fan of Interpol (and Joy Division, who people say Interpol are like the new version of, and he's totally smitten with Morrissey). The general assumption in this fandom is that if you like something it's because someone in the bands does.

Ah-HA! It begins to make sense. And thats just silly, y'all are quite capable of having your own tastes. Also, it would make sense you would like the same kinds of bands as the guys in the bands you like would like. Like. I don't know if that sentence made sense *grins*

Hahaha. Yeah, but believe me, a vast portion of this fandom are aching to be clones of the bands. I'm two years OLDER than this guy, dammit, and I take great pride in being able to go, "I was singing along to This Charming Man before you had hair on your balls! HAH."
