So, I redesigned my journal to match my MySpacks - yes, it's very autumnal and yes, those are maple leaves.

What else did you expect? I have a tattoo!

I just wish I knew how to make it more transparent without making the text so transparent. *pout*

It speaks volumes about MySpacks - this looks great here, but on there, it looks eyeburningly bright. What the fuck is with that..?

It's a slightly different tone of blue on there.

Which I actually like better.

Also, the opacity there is greater.

It's something with the spacing, and the amount of modules me thinks. It's weird how layout can change a perspective on something.

I actually like both shades of blue. They work well with the background, though the darker one suits more.

I've had a bit more of a tinker, so it matches more closely.

I wish I could get the bevelled borders that I have on mySpacks, all the way around the text.

But I like Smooth Sailing too much to change.

The thing with LJ layouts is you get to know one and how to modify it to your liking. I love Flexible Squares because it's what I know and I find it easy to mess with.

I've seen loads of good Smooth Sailing layouts though. And I love the leaves background on this...

Yeah - mine is kind of weird. It needs touching up. Some of the lines are very thick and slightly bluish in places (it's done in dark red) from where the transfer stayed on after she'd done it.

It was done in February and never faded... :o/

thats not good!!! most of my tattoos are dark, or the lining is black, so the transfers never showed thru.

i think you've actually showed me your tattoo before.. or maybe you had a picture posted at one time. i can't remember now.

I've never posted a picture, so it must have been when I described it in IM...

I will get it touched up, eventually... I want loads more so I need to make sure this one can look its best.

Especially as it is on my wrist and hard to hide!

It's not too bad, now, but I'm a perfectionist...
