Actually he's a straight friend from high school. He was the vice president of a software start up, but he's about to move to San Francisco to work for the Mozilla Foundation.

So, as usual I haven't been following LiveJournal closely enough. Why Chicago?

Because I love Chicago. Been there twice in the last eight months. Height of summer and late autumn. Loved it both times.

I've got friends there, as well. All the most amazing bands come from there (Fall Out Boy to Smashing Pumpkins), it's got history, it's got beaches (which may as well be the sea anyway), it's fucking pretty and I felt so, so at home there.

And I'm sick of England.
