Just for the record, stating that a man allegedly felt you up because he was Welsh and implying that all Welshmen are perverts is racism.

Just the same as saying a man is obviously going to mug you because he's black would be.

Another nationality or race sharing your skin colour does not make it okay to make negative generalisations about them, especially when you're using them to influence people's opinion of a country.

English people - of which I am clearly one - have a reputation of arrogance as a nation, if you go to another country and propagate that stereotype of course the locals will dislike you. It's your responsibility to show them that it's untrue.

I have never met a Welsh person - in or outside of their home country - who was not lovely; including Simon, who is from Port Talbot near Swansea, and who has been a dear friend of mine since I was 16. To assume that all Welsh people are bullies and perverts - to call them such in other people's journals, especially when that person is expressing an interest in moving to the country - is fucking appalling. To genuinely believe what you are saying, is very, very sad and ignorant.

If anyone else around shares this kind of prejudice, let me know so I can fuck your shit up defriend you. Thanks.

I have not met every nationality on our little planet, but I have met a colour and race. I was born to a white and very racist family. Somehow that character flaw did not stick with me. As I was saying... out of all the races I have met there have been ignorant, stupid, nasty, arrogant, evil, perverted people, equally I have met some of the warmest and beautiful souls in evry colour of our rainbow nation of humanity. Some time, some day, we will hopefully evolve beyound colour, beyound race and come to realize we are all here together sharing equal problems, traumas and challenges. We all share the same small planet and what ever one does in a country across the world will eventually effect the one we are in. We must evolve beyound colour....

Thanks for the post...

It's all a bit ridiculous, really - this isn't even about colour; the Welsh share the same appearance as the English - we're all white, unless we have mixed heritage or are of international descent (such as second generation immigrants).

But to say that someone would behave in an immoral way, as this person has done, both in the last day or so, and several months back, is appalling to me.

I can't understand how someone would think that way.

It goes way back, and your right... it is not only an issue of colour. We have nationalism, racism, elitism, so many isms.... Your religon is not mine; your culture is weird; your ancestors are inferior to mine; I have more money then you, and I think that we humans have been doing this so long that it has become engrained into our genetic memory. It all roots in fear. These isms issues fears are one of the largest of challenges that our world societies must evolve beyound. Or all these isms will continue to pull us apart untill we are so divided we extinct ourselves... Or hey, maybe (as some may believe) it is a game of survival and the superior race will win to control all... :0/ You no it used to piss me off... no it just makes me sad....

I've actually decided - and I was discussing this today, with my friend Jay, who has a ten year old daughter - that I am pro-extinction of the entire human race.

I think we've had our chance, and made such a mess of our planet and our relationships between cultures and races that we should vow, as a species, to remove ourselves from the picture. Just stop breeding and die out.

Yes, I have been very pro-extinction myself. However, I have an understanding, at lest my own personal feeling, that life is very important. So, I do not feel the whole of humanity should be extinct. There are too many people, not enough yet, that think like you do. And if people like you give us reason to look forward to a time when the whole, or the majority of the masses, will think, behave, and express life from a higher mind and higher more evolved disposition. Life is a powerful force. Everything from a worm to the most evolved of species, what ever that may be ;-), will fight to live. These attitudes and the many other destructive games humans play will, as they are begining to, force people to evolve for the soul purpose of survival. When people are faced with certain death and destruction life has a way of surviving. Lets just hope we can survive and become more resonable composed with the flow of all life. At least I at times fantasize about a world that is less focused on death, war, and consumption of all life....

I think we all wish for that, some times.

Jay's view as a parent is very different, his little girl has given him a lot more faith in humanity, which is good for him. He used to be as cynical about this as I am.

It's a relief to know that at least some people aren't so despairing about the world we live in.

I agree, and having children gave me a new light as well. And as it is a relief to know the are those that feel this way about our world, it will be better to know that those few stand up more often in voice and action to encourage and demand the changes and the better world that we desire to live in.
