Exactly. That's exactly how I feel about her; like she's riding his coat tails to have the famous boyfriend - and very possibly waiting to get introduced to someone more famous, more wealthy and more conventionall handsome at the events he takes her to. Because I'm sorry - I think Patrick is beautiful - but I can't imagine a girl like that wanting to date a guy who looks like a squishy little teenager half the time. She strikes me much more as the kind of girl who wants a 'proper man'. Your polished scruff sort. Your McDreamy or possibly even a more R'n'B/hip hop kind of guy who will be interested in doing the bling and the decadent lifestyle, instead of building houses in the suburb he grew up in and collecting ugly trainers.
I bet he's easily swayed by a girl paying attention to him, as well; he seems quite a naive kind of guy - he would probably be easily manipulated by the right girl.
And that's why it bothers me. I want him to be happy, and he might be while she's acting as though she loves him because he probably feels pretty blessed, but I don't want to see him hurt again if we're right about her.
