They've deleted it now, but the thing is, icecreamhdaches is a newsfeed blog, where they manually post all news. It's not one person's personal journal, it has over a thousand friends and probably more people watching it. It's probably the best-known one in bandom.
It's communities like that Pete was almost certainly talking about when he asked people not to repost in the first place, because it's where the gossip hacks look.
