I forgot to mention this, yesterday, but you know how I'm twenty-six (26, right?) in five weeks time?

Yesterday I got ID'd in Waitrose... while buying root beer.

Two things: ROOT BEER IS A SOFT DRINK! And also: TWENTY-FUCKING-SIX. What the shit, world? I was carded last year, at twenty-four, for a tattoo. Almost eighteen months later I'm being carded for NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.

WHAT THE FUCK, WORLD?

I am not that baby-faced.

I got carded earlier...buying alcohol-free beer in Asda.

I swear, they are getting seriously heavy-handed with ID checks in this country. I've seen loads of requests for ID whilst queuing that are blatantly ridiculous...

I got ID'd for a movie in the spring. And when I got my tattoo, the guy photocopied both sides of my ID, as he did with the 40+ year old woman who came in after me.

I guess it's different everywhere you go, but I like that policy because it covers their asses in case anything should go wrong.

The only time that I have ever been carded was going to see a movie once and to be fair, I wasn't of age but I got in any way after I showed them my ambiguous school ID.

It's moments like that when I'm thankful that I have large breasts and curves. They make me look just a bit over Old Enough.
