Stargate, eh?

Stargate fans, this is probably something you already know, but - if we need Naquadah/Naquadria or a ZPM to power our gates, what the hell powers the gates on all those other unmanned or primitive worlds?

Each DHD comes with its own power source. Generally, it may last for millennia. Once or twice a team (SG-1, I believe) has come across a depleted DHD/gate. So yeah, they can work for a long long time, long after the planet has become uninhabited or primitive.
