They really are great guys I think it's really cool that they know what you are doing and why. What they did...if I had to use a single word, it would be amazing, though that isn't truly adequate.
I know what you mean in the last line. I recently had to sit and write something for a reading I said I'd do at chapel on the one-year anniversary of Eva's death, and it was really fucking hard to find the words to express how much the short time I knew her meant to me, and why I think how she lived despite her challenges was so awesome. My one sheet of A4 turned into three sheets, and really, there is still so much that I wanted to say but didn't get to. So yeah... *hugs*
(Seeing all of Band of Brothers really helped me understand why the show and the real-life E-company mean so much to you. While I always respected it, and I just have a lot of respect for WWI/WWII veterans in general, I don't think I truly 'got it' until I saw the show from start to finish.)
