Did I mention that I'm becoming a workaholic? So far this year, I have been off sick once - for a single day.

I have nineteen days annual leave left (out of 29 - five carried over from last year and three of those are already accounted for over Christmas). Some of those I have already taken were occasions when I had hospital appointments and took a whole day instead of taking Necessary Appointment leave.

I have - as mentioned the other day - been doing work on my own time.

And now? Now, I have plans to use some of all that annual leave to take time out from my own job to help Esmee as a volunteer over in the Gate.

I scare me.

Wow. You're as bad as I am. I don't think I'ver ever not worked two jobs my entire working life. (Aside from a month of involuntary resignation)

It's not so much two jobs - it's my day job, but working for another area of the charity. At the moment I work for the corporate side, which focuses on commercial training; what I'll be doing is helping out the Priory of St. John side, which is the charity and museums of the Order.

But I'll be doing that on my free time, rather than as part of my day job.

That's cool. I haven't done any substantial volunteer work since gay pride last year. I just work two jobs consistantly. Heh.

Yeah, I guess it's a good thing, though - positive karma. It probably means hanging around with the Pretteh, you see... Not that that occured to me originally.

Don't work on your own time. Bad Rosie! *wags finger*

That is one good thing about my place of employment. Working off the clock is absolutely forbidden, and they are really strict about enforcing that. It's a lot easier to do that when everybody punches a clock though. When one is salaried or doesn't have a concrete way of timekeeping, it's harder to keep track. In those situations it's often impossible to get things done in the time given, and people end up working on their own time. My mom used to stay over to get things done and not get paid, and it sucked.

Now that I've rambled and given my thoughts, I'll have to go back and read exactly *why* you're working on your own time. Yeah, I should have done that first, eh? :)

Well, I did the picture search for fun and as a bit of a challenge, really. I just sat at home and looked through hundreds and hundreds of royalty free images.

I rarely stay late at work...
