No f. w. that is spanking lovely and pretty! 6 miles each way sounds do-able. Says missy 'cycled to the shop at the top of the road and back and had to have a lie-down'. But it was a very hot day.

Sally rides 20 miles each day, to and from work. O_O. Six miles shuold only take 30 minutes.
The great thing about 'pleasure' cycling is that you take a nice, leisurely ride. You can sit down on any field or pub bench you happy past and you get to see lots of lovely countryside - without feeling bad for polluting it.
If you're getting rid of the car, cycling would be a pretty good option.
