Oh man. I am so dull. So, so fucking dull.

In five weeks or so, I will be going to Chicago and celebrating my 25th birthday on Monday, 26th November. So far the plan consists of going for dinner at a seafood restaurant.

Guess what I did last year?

And the year before?

Guess what I'll probably do next year?

However, dinner doesn't take that long, does it? So, you'd plan something for after. Except:

1. I don't drink and I pretty much hate bars.
2. I don't dance.
3. I can't sing any more, so no karaoke.
4. I don't go to the theatre, I just act in them occasionally.
5. I don't want to go to the cinema.

What the fuck else can you do in a city while all dressed up for a nice meal?

Dude, I didn't even really celebrate last year except for dinner with my family.

Um, fun things to do in Chicago on a Monday night? I don't know. All I've ever really done in Chicago is go to musicals and go shopping, so. I'm not really much help. Sorry. :/

I've been to Navy Pier. There was fuck-all there. Just docks for tour ships and a couple of tourist shops and fast food places.

Yeah, I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.

There might be a show at the Planetarium. Or maybe one of the museums has is open in the evening?

I hate that kind of thing, too.

Well. Um....

It looks like you are going to have to find some band at some bar. Surely you can find one somewhere.

The prospect of anything just feels so mind-numbing, right now.

This is my last try :)
Take a night cruise on the lake. I bet they will still be going in November.

We thought about that, but what's the point, really, in late November?

Meh.

Thanks for your efforts, anyway.

So you don't like going to see art whatsoever? If you even have a slight interest in seeing art, I highly recommend the Art Institute.

I've taken some self-guided tours of Chicago's downtown by following the maps in travel books. Just seeing the landmarks is quite fun, so that might be an option.

Yes, I do, pretty much.

I've no interest in it at all.

And we're going to spend most of the week wandering around Chicago, so it's not much of a birthday thing.

Thanks, though.

I did a ghost tour the year before last and being a psychic for public events, those are all a bit busman's holiday, now...

Walks along the water are fine in June, but less so at the end of October and people watching just fills me with contempt.

Thanks for the suggestions, though.

You could always just take really random pictures of yourself being all bad ass and scene-kid around Chicago. That's what I would do. Only I am neither scece-kid nor badass.

Er. No.

I think the long and the short of it is that I'd much rather just sit at home on the internet than do anything else in the world.

Isn't that funny?

Our first day in Chicago, Lindsey and I watched Rosanne on DVD for like.. 9 hours while we unpacked her.

OF course, the second day we did some heavy duty shopping.. But I'm not sure you share the same love I do of wasting money.

Why not spend most of the evening having dinner? I love nights like that, taking the meal slowly with good company.

Because I don't?

That's really just kind of boring, for me.
