With some help from the lovely tiny_tear, I have just purchased a video camera (and like 10 mini DV tapes to get me though the Chicago trip, at least for starters).

This is so going to win.

Note: I have no plans to become a video blogger.

and also, the standard windows software is surprisingly easy to use.

I once made a film to show my parents my new flat and it worked quite well...
