oh hey, them! yeah, saw them on tv the other day. my reaction was. of confusion. & disgust. because, just what. i don't know how they managed to churn out something so awful.
A lot of it is, sadly. Or more often than not it just sounds 'meh'. There's a good reason why I've been listening to a lot of '60's and '70's stuff lately, I guess. I'm being a hypocrite though - I'm currently listening to the last Buck 65 album. You wouldn't like him, but at least he's Canadian!
I think I get pissed off at how dreary everything sounds, and how people don't even really seem to make an effort - especially not when it comes to singing. Any chance with an ugly outfit can get on MTV these days.
I'm mostly listening to early/mid noughties pop punk at the moment. FOB, Motion City Soundtrack, Spitalfield, some Hawthorne Heights... You'd actually probably really like Cobra Starship, actually.
