God, I miss the mid-90s so much.

Pop music then was so different.

What I miss about music from back then is the fact that people experimented more and were generally more fearless with what they'd put out there. Even the chart pop back then was more interesting. Music is so formulaic these days... *shakes head*

Yeah. And no matter what it was, so much of it has soul of some kind - or some humour. People had talent. Even the manufactured bands.

There's no substance in pop at all, these days.

The state of music these days makes me so sad. Most of what is on my player is old stuff, acoustic or classical. To be honest, I couldn't name many bands that are releasing music these days.

Yeah, I feel you. I miss the time when people weren't afraid to experiment....I also miss the variety of mainstream music....there isn't much of it these days, IMO.
