I have a dilemma.

Remember the Ghostbusters tattoo I wanted? Well. Heh. I actually applied to the London Ink show for a laugh to get it done - and then looked at the quality of artwork they put out individually, and realised that I didn't think any of the artists there were that good. And I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my tattoos. Piotrek - who did my Cobra - is very good at horror and would do an awesome job of it.

Unbelievably, they have now come back to me, and want to talk about the design.

And I don't know what to do. I'm thinking about suggesting that I get something else (possibly the HRE tattoo or the Rosie Riveter tattoo (WWII feminism FTW), but then she's basically a pin-up girl and they probably get a million of those.

What do you reckon? Should I at least look into it?

I would at least look into it, just don't commit to anything inless you're 100% comfortable with it. It's completely understandable to be a perfectionist about it, it's there forever : )

But you could chat to them, see what they come up with. It would be an awesome experience, I think - they'd probably be really interested in talking to you about your other work, too, which would make interesting viewing... I'd watch it : )

Haha. Thanks. I sent them my number - we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, look into it, look at their art and the sketches and see what you think. I personally love the art work that the woman does (I forget her name) but it isn't the sort of stuff you want done...

I'm telling you, next time you're in Chicago, have somebody get you down to China Doll to see my friend Penny. Her work is amazing.
