rosiedoes: (Mood: Happy)

So, you might know that Julie and I are getting a place together, in the next couple of months - right now, it's looking like it will almost certainly be in Brighton (or Hove, if we have to) so [livejournal.com profile] fredtheguava ultimately won! (Rachael, if you're interested on taking us up on the offer let us know, because we'll be looking at apartments really soon; it's cool if you don't want to, but it's better to know before we get somewhere) - and we've spent this evening planning how to furnish it (because to be honest, the good apartments are all empty possessions).

I've decided I want a kind of girly (! - I know! Girly! Me!) shabby chic bedroom, and I just bought the first item for it off eBay.

How cute is that throw? ♥ I'm going to get a basic wooden bed and worry about the rest as we go on. As long as I have somewhere decent to sleep, the living room is a bigger priority. We're looking at green and chocolate for that, and at getting a fancy, green patterned seat and a plain sofa made by a Welsh company. I'm pretty sure they made my mum's old sofa and it was fine, and really cheap.

We have plans. And payouts coming to us to buy it with. It's looking good.

But yes. It's all getting quite real.

Oooh, pretty throw. I love that shabby chic look, which I've been trying to do a variation of in my room. However, since I want to move, I've stopped bothering doing anything with this place.

It seems you guys have it all in hand. Good luck with that.

It's also getting quite scary. I'm moving country *gulps* I'm going to become an Irish Immigrant. For some reason, that makes me laugh quite a bit. Damn history lessons...

DON'T WEAR THE FLAG! is a reference to the crazy girl who hates the Welsh.

hehehe S'ok. I'll reallly need to tone down the accent. People cant understand me half the time in eNgland (or in Ireland cos I talk so fast. Go figure)

The flag thing is a joke about a friend (not any more) of ours on LJ, whose friend harassed a friend of hers for wearing a Welsh flag in Wembly stadium. And she has a thing agauints Welsh people cos she got hassle from one guy once in a bar in Wales for being English. We both think thats incredibly stupid and racist and now, anytime any of use say anything about our country, its DONT WEAR THE FLAG!!!

We have strange injokes

Oh yeah, I forgot about that particular cunt, because people like that don't deserve to stick in anyone's memory.

Cute throw! The good thing about Brighton is it's still near to London, but is not London! Good for visiting and being visited.

Obviously it's not the only good reason to move there! When are you likely to be going?

Haha - yes. You shall have to come down and bring the kidlet (and Luke, of course) to meet the seagulls.

It's because Brighton is the best place. Ever. Well, in England, anyway : )

I'm staying put for at least a few more months though, so you'll be looking for two. I'm all set up, and the deposits and all that are waaaay too much for me to think about anytime soon.

But good luck! You'll like it down here, I reckon.

Sure, that's cool - it was just you saying that you thought you'd have to be out soon.

We've found some gorgeous places. Fingers crossed, we might be your new neighbours (of sorts).

Hahaha. No, sadly not - just renting.

But you will need to come and visit!
