I meant to start this as soon as I got in, but I got distracted.

Anyway, my day began when I went out to buy something to wear - nearly had a panic and texted Kitty saying that I'd exhausted the High Street and had nothing to wear. To my amazement, I found a lovely dress in New Look, of all places. It's lacy and black.

Spent the time getting ready being deluged with texts from friends of old and family members.

Then I went to coffee, where Elise gave me one of the most thoughtful presents ever (although she did brilliantly last year - picking a perfume set that was the kind I always wore, when I could still find it) - Native American medicine cards, created my a man from my ancestors' tribe. I can't wait to try them. When I'm less tired... Kitty bought me the soundtrack and score to Donnie Darko, which I already loved but didn't have a hard copy of, and Helen bought a pretty, pretty electric blue frame for my superhawt picture of Amanda Tapping.

We then went to Loch Fyne Covent Garden, and had OYSTERS. I now have a new favourite food. Prawns? Pffft. Fuck prawns. I have been wrong for 23 years. They are not the best food in the world: OYSTERS ARE THE BEST FOOD IN THE WORLD! They are so fresh and like the cleanest ocean water and work so well with lemon and oh dear God I think I may develop a medical dependency. When they say they're an aphrodisiac, what they mean is that they taste so good you will need new pants.

At this point, Helen paid for my dinner, against my protests, and ran off to go to an engagement party. Busy girl, that one. The rest of us - Elise, Kitty, Ewa, Hinky and myself - took a taxi to St. Paul's for our ghost walk of the City of London. We were later joined by Andrew and Alasdair and much in the way of fun and cold feet was had (although I thought the weather politely clement, all things considered).

We rounded of the evening by going to a tiny gaming pub close to where I work, but which I did not know existed. It is quaint and cute and lovely and I liked it there. Might need to go there again. Especially as they sell pie.

All in all, I had a great day, and I thank everyone for their efforts and wishes. <3 Only 364 days until the next one, and I would like to say now, that shares in an oyster farm would be a good choice of gift, if you're at all stuck. :D
