ashe_frost, has an adorable little cousin named Shyla, who is obsessed with make-up. When I posted the handbag meme, she told Ashe how much she liked my make up and my lipgloss (even though she couldn't see them).
So, I said I would take her a picture or two of all my make up so she could see.
What I think would be really sweet, would be if all the girls on my flist also emptied out their make-up bags and posted a picture in comments, telling us about what they have. It would totally make this little girl's day.
- I wear a lot of green and brown eyeshadow because I have brown eyes. The two little pots on the left are glittery green and silver, but I don't wear those very much.
- the black palette of eyeshadows is by Urban Decay, and I like that brand a lot; I bought it at Heathrow Airport when Julie and I were going on holiday to Vancouver, but I can't find it anywhere else! I need a refill for Chopper and Mildew!
- I also wear a lot of eyeliner (although I put eyeshadow over the top, so it's less bold), so you can see three pencils and one liquid eyeliner there, as well as my mascara. I almost bought a green mascara yesterday, but I realised I was going to start looking like a tree.
- all the red items are lipgloss, because I have very dark lips; the silver lipstick was a from when I did a play and had to also be make-up artist for all the boys. That was the lipstick they wore! (It's a really nice shade) I also have a tub of Carmex, which is really good to keep your lips soft. Secret tip: if you put it on spots, it makes them hurt less and dries them up quickly.
- on the far right is my base make up; there's my concealer and foundation (which is a mousse, instead of a powder or a cream) and some blusher. Usually, I wear my foundation a tiny bit light and give myself rosy little cheeks like I live on a farm or something. O_o
- at the top is my nail varnish, and it's the only nailvarnish I own. It's black. Because it was always my ambition in life for people to dress up as me on Hallowe'en.
- the mirror is really, really old. It was a free gift with Bliss magazine when I was about 15 years old, and used to have a little picture frame in the empty side. At that time, the picture in it was of Green Day.
- and then we have my make-up bag; it cost about £3 and was made by six year olds in the darkest corners of Asia. I don't shop at Primark anymore.
