Friday, 26 September 2008 08:05 pmFrom the Washington Post:
McCain Wins Debate
Although the fate of tonight's presidential debate in Mississippi remains very much up in the air, John McCain has apparently already won it -- if you believe an Internet ad an astute reader spotted next to this piece in the online edition of the Wall Street Journal this morning.
"McCain Wins Debate!" declares the ad which features a headshot of a smiling McCain with an American flag background. Another ad spotted by our eagle-eyed observer featured a quote from McCain campaign manager Rick Davis declaring: "McCain won the debate-- hands down."
Here's the screenshot.

What a total douchebag.

on 2008-09-26 07:13 pm (UTC)I'n sure Obama has something similar. Or maybe he doesn't because he's been accused of being arrogant so that wouldn't look good for him.

on 2008-09-26 07:22 pm (UTC)The thing is I'm pretty sure McCain isn't a huge douchebag. He's just a Republican. I mean, I'm pretty sure if you walked by him and made eye contact he'd smile at you and tell you your kid was cute if you had one.
It's just that politics make people bigger douchebags. Because you have a whole bunch of douchebags carving your image out of douche.

on 2008-09-26 07:27 pm (UTC)I'm sure they're all nice guys, or at least can be in a public setting, ties off, sleeves rolled up...
A simple turn of the wheel can direct people to take the left fork in the road or the right fork in the road.
Right now, McCain's really good at directing people to the left, or making them slam right into the tree.
...Wow, what a crap analogy that was. Haha. Sorry. Sort of talking out of my ass.

on 2008-09-26 07:31 pm (UTC)Meanwhile I'm not sure Obama would look the other direction if I walked by. Even though he has great politics and is good with the press. Admittedly, this could be because he comes across with an air of education about him and I always think really educated people think I'm stupid, which is probably because my father is on his fourth degree. =D
