rosiedoes: (Season: Autumn)

I can't believe it's October already. I adore this month - it's invariably my favourite time of year, especially as we hit autumn and you can feel the days getting shorter.

It makes me want to cook, more. I've a tendency to make really good, rustic foods in winter - lots of stew and chunky soups and stuff like that.

I'm supposed to be making one-pot pie tonight...

It's also my birthday, next month. I haven't got any plans yet, but I'll let you guys know if I decide to do anything.

Oh my god, let me come over and eat your Autumn food? *g*

I feel ya though, Fall is wonderful. I can't wait for all the Halloween specials on tv! Ghost Hunters Live <33

Btw, Happy Early Birthday! Do you know of anything you'd like?

Haha - a job and some Joe/Patrick fic would be nice... But don't worry, I don't expect anyone to get me anything. That comment was more for my friends who live in the south of England and might want to come out for a birthday dinner or something. Traditionally, I get everyone to come out for a seafood dinner.

It's my birthday next month too. I'm probably going to do what i've wanted to for about 3 years and have a winter picnic, probably on the beach. flasks of soup, nice bread, tea and coffee and things like that. I'm seeing less than jake that week too so i want to do something low key.

wow, i'm actually excited about it now when i wasn't before. :)

also I'm a huge fan of winter cooking. it's time for me to make tons of vegi chilli and eat that three times a week until spring.

I love winter. And that sounds like a lovely way to spend a day.

Seeing as I live on the edge of the countryside, now, I should try to get out there more.

This is my favourite time of year too. Unfortunately fall in Newfoundland kind of sucks, as the leaves here don't really change colour, they just turn brown and fall off the trees. But still, I like the cooler weather. :)

Me too. Winter clothes are much more cosy.

Autumn food! Finally time to bring out those wacky Dutch Dishes again. (AKA: make my mom cook them for me)

Does it rain a lot in October?

I don't know, really. Some years it does.
