Do you see them tomorrow? I hope they do as well. Less than an hour for a band that has what, 5 albums out with a 6th on the way? Ugh. I am less impressed with this band by the day.
Wait. Ism't that like $80 Canadian? AND THEY PLAYED FOR LESS THAN AN HOUR? Holy fuck. Elton John just came here, tickets were $120 and he played for THREE HOURS.
Daaamn. I wouldn't be either. :/ That secret show had better be worth it, if you get to go. And hopefully they'll actually play more than an hour, so you'll at least get your money's worth.
I know the feeling. I'm unemployed and eternally broke.
This time last year, I would have done the same, but I travelled a long distance to see them at YWT last November and had a fucking awful time. Never again will I do that. It's not worth it.
I'm also seriously unimpressed at the whole $130 album package thing.
They play stadiums and arenas here in Canada. I've only been a fan of theirs for a year, so I don't have as vested an interest, but I've lost a lot of respect for them at the same time.
The thing with the package is it is how much each item costs all together. It would be less expensive and probably more profitable if they dropped half the shit in that package that people don't care about and just sell three packages with the CD; just the CD and whatever; the CD + USB + [which is basically the DVD], and the CD + USB + the Vinyl. It would be a better deal.
I honestly think they've got really bad people behind business making decision. Frist the really stupid itunes thing now this shit. What are they thinking doing this when the US economy is down the toilet?
I agree. I have no interest in the T-shirt or the hoodie. I think they're fug and they wouldn't fit me anyway, so it's a total waste for me. Personally, I'd just want the DVD and the vinyl along with the album.
I think the USB thing is kind of stupid, but I wouldn't mind the content that's on it ;)
And I'm with you in thinking that this was a seriously bad judgement call, releasing a fucking $130 album package when the majority of their fans are teenagers, and given the state of the economy right now. Epic fail, in my opinion.
Yeah, the USB thing is basically two DVDs. I find the whole thing kind of silly myself because it a kind of a fulgy item.
Just..what's going on? I'm also wondering how much it took to make the goddamn the album. Record sales tend to go to the record companies to make up for the cost of the album.
I don't want to blame the band themselves but they really got to learn to say "Maybe this a bad idea" or learn a bit more a business.
