This LJ add on for Firefox is honestly the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Not only does it give you bespoke pop-ups in the activity bar at the bottom of the screen to tell you if there has been an update without having the page open and refreshing all the time, but you can hover over comment links and view a toolbar including editing, memories and all that stuff even in layouts without the direct links; and it also expands LJ-cuts in your flist at the click of a little + sign and close them again with an X. So damn awesome.
IT ALSO GIVES YOU A DROP-DOWN LIST TO SELECT TAGS.
This is the most amazing add-on ever and you should all use it immediately.

on 2009-01-03 08:42 pm (UTC)It is pretty cool, although I get annoyed by the fact that in some releases, the new tools are turned on by default - and while it is mostly useful, some of the tools are totally fucking pointless and really annoying.

on 2009-01-03 08:56 pm (UTC)The changelog tends to be a lot more detailed now, but 6 months ago it wasn't even always complete, and some of the tools were so integrated, it was hard to tell what was the plug-in and what was LJ's tinkering.
Mostly I use it for the LJ checker, cut unfolder (♥) and the tag selector. Those are all totally fucking awesome. As is the last comment log.
