I don't think I've ever been in a fandom crazier than bandom... Most of those old ones were tranquil by comparison.

Definitely! I do feel a bit sad that I haven't heard a new band who captured my imagination/passion like everyone loving FOB/MCR etc.
I like their songs and enjoy them live, and I love reading the fic, just don't seem to get into the bands personally which I feel is a bit of a shame, oh well!
