This vid comes from a conversation Julie and I had last night. It's obviously a piss-take (the last part should clarify that if nothing else), but it was a lot of fun to make. Quite hard, given the fact I only really used what I had on my HD, but worth it in the end.

I bring you: Brokeback Patroh.

(Apologies if it's still processing.)

(Big snugs to Julie for converting a couple of the flv files my system was too dumb to fix, and for betaing the thing.)

It was okay... very strange. I was there three weeks doing research on favelas. It's always striking when poverty clubs you over the head like that.

Wow. That's pretty hardcore.

We studied Rio when I did my GCSEs...

The ones in Rio are pretty intense, it's amazing though the things they come up with to survive.
Overwhelming thing is, many of the people I met there are happier than some people I know who have so much more.

And thus: we see the trappings of the modern world.

You should check out the Politics forum on FuckCity.com - there are some things on there about civilisation and stuff which might be interesting to you.

Awesome, I shall do.

Also, what is this fuckcity I hear so much about?

It's Andy Hurley & Household, pretty much. He and his four non-band best friends live in a house together in Milwaukee, which they call Fuck City. They've started a clothing label and a record label together, and FuckCity.com is the website.

Andy's gotten really, really friendly with the fans since you've been away. He Twitters constantly and although he's been quiet for a couple of weeks on the forum, usually spends a lot of time there, too. I'm one of the mods over there.

Joe got a Twitter, too, which is adorable.
