X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I'll tell you what's wrong: the casting of Gambit was LEGENDARILY GOOD, except there was no Cajun accent (and barely even a New Orleans one), his eyes should have been black with red irises but his eyes were perfectly normal and flashed red ONCE. Not good enough. It's central to his appearance. You can't not do that. And there was just not enough of him for it to be worth showing. He was wasted. And he never said "cher[e]" even once.
The first kinetic impact was pretty much mindblowing - I'd been waiting to see that in live action for years - but he was severely underused. I feel like there should have been a lot more scenes in the film which showcased the characters' abilities more. For anyone who wasn't a fan, there was very little mention or suggestion of the names we'd come to know the characters by (or even their real names). Emma Frost was never named. Deadpool was actually used for maybe 10 minutes max, and from what I've heard, they fuck up the timeline with two different endings which totally contradict each other (although apparently, one does break the fourth wall, which is a traditional Deadpoolism).
I loved the casting and the movement/gait of Sabretooth. There's nothing like matching facial hair to make you want to write weird, near-bestial incest, either. He was most definitely a highlight and I found him a really sympathetic character (probably more than he was supposed to be, but I felt the same about Pyro in X2). Liev did a great job.
It was a decent film, I guess, but it didn't feel that complete. It felt rushed - kind of like a half-remembered memory, you know? Like someone re-telling a story and missing out details.
I hear there's another Origins movie in the pipeline, and I don't know how the hell that'll work, but yeah... I'm waiting for the deleted scenes and the Director's Cut for this one, first.
