For those of you coming to Loch Fyne, tomorrow, I'll be a little bit on the femme side of dressy, so if anyone wants to join in to stop me feeling awkward I would love you more than I already do.

You're allowed to dress up and stand out when you're the birthday girl! Hope you have a lovely day dear.

Thanks, hon. ♥

I just don't like standing out, is the problem... not the way I used to.

When it was my 30th, my mother brought my card and present to the restaurant and the waitress said "ooh is it a birthday?" and then gave us special service with a free (traditional Chinese) drink for me, and a free dessert that was a massive fruit platter.
I would never have drawn attention to myself and actively tried to get the freebies but the attentive, thoughtful service was much appreciated.

Well, I'm told there are lots of presents coming my way, so they can't fail to notice!

That's reminded me of something and I texted my friend to tell him. In Ben Crouch you get free champagne if it's someone's birthday. I've only ever done that on two legitimate occasions, but if anyone can pull it off as a scam he will, and he's meeting friends there tonight.

Wear a tiara! No one can admonish you for wearing one on your birthday!

Happy Birthday dahling is I don't get to say it tomorrow!

Thanks, hon - and I do have a tiara, but it won't go with my outfit...

I used to wear them to the supermarket when I was sixteen... back in the days of the Manics obsession.
