I MET PATRICK! I GOT A HUG! HE IS SO FUCKING TINY! I AM SO SMITTEN*.

God. Oh my god. More coherent update tomorrow. But, essentially, we have a little chat about the pants I threw on stage and I got a hug and told him he was lovely and he said, "D'aww... thanks..."

Charlie is sweet, but I understand why people get the wrong idea about him being an arsehole. He's just doing his job. We fans must seem pretty obnoxious to him...

Anyway. It was awesome and hilarious and, oh yeah, I HUGGED PATRICK STUMP!!1!!!!!twelve

*Yeah, more so.

I never get to meet anyone I'm madly infautated with. ;_; I'd have to go to Denmark or London to do it.

But awesome job. >D Now he'll just have to fall madly in love with Rosie!

Oh man, I wish he would.

We have the same COMPLETELY IMPROPER AND DARKLY FLIPPANT sense of humour.

He's awesome.

I've actually only heard "Dance, Dance" and have avoided the band because I hated the annoying kids here who think they're all hardcore for listening to them. ;_; I suppose I can give a try, any recommendations?

It depends what sort of music you're into.

If you're into rather Green Day-ish punk, go for their very earliest stuff - Evening Out With Your Girlfriend. They were very young at the time. Well. They're still young (Joe is just 21) - but this album really does sound like the best of the local bands making a self-produced CD. It's sweet and quite teen-angsty. Try Parker Lewis Can't Lose (But I'm Gonna Give It My Best Shot).

If you're into (very) slightly hardcore-ish and more emo-sounding stuff go for Take This To Your Grave. Better produced and developing their more familiar and pop-y edge. It's a great album. They always close their shows with Saturday.

From Under the Cork Tree is their last album - the one Dance, Dance is on. It's much more MOR but definitely very different to a lot of what is around. Pete's lyrics have reached a plateau of ascerbic genius and the song titles become funnier. They sound more grown up. So far, this is my favourite Fall Out Boy album. The whole thing makes me want to dance like an idiot. The closing track Xo is one of my favourites and hearing it live tonight was awesome.

The new album, Infinity on High comes out a week today. It's going to be amazing. Very controversial - as it's basically a rock album with R'n'B/Hip Hop production. It was leaked, recently, so they recorded a live EP today to encourage people to buy it so in honour of that I'm giving you a live version of The Take Over, The Breaks Over from the AOL sessions they did recently.

I shall expect to see you back with a "FALL OUT BOY IS A GANG" badge in the near future.

We spent all day hanging around by the stage door, and then after the show Charlie realised he wasn't going to get rid of us, so he brought Patrick out to meet people.

Yeah, definitely. I have an optician's appointment at 12.40, but we're free all day after that.

That's odd - I was planning to go to the opticians today (my mother has said she will help me pay for new contact lenses).

Will you be around this afternoon by about 2.30pm then? If so where?

Well, where do you want to meet?

I'm all for Starbucks and maybe on to the Canadian bar.

British Museum or Centre Point?

British Museum one - let's be traditional! See you about 2.30pm then!

No - It's going to have to be the Centre Point one. I'm doing a phone interview for a chart show. I need the signal to be good.

Aw, I was at the gig last night as a friend asked me to go with her at the last minute as all her other friends had let her down. I was keeping my eyes open for you, to say hello but I guessed you'd be near the front or something :) I'm glad you got to meet him, he's great onstage. I really like the way they interacted with the fans, the audience and they did a really great gig!

Are you sure you mean Patrick? It's Pete the bassist who does all that - Patrick is the little chubby guy who sings.

I love him to death.

I knew he's the one you like so I thought I'd just mention that since I noticed that he's good at what he does, even if it's Pete who's the showman.

Aww - yeah, he's adorable. He's so friendly... and kept coming over to our side of the stage, as well.

His reaction to the knickers was beautiful. It made my life.
