Depends.

I have Ella Fitgerald singing Cole Porter's 'It's Delovely' (recorded 1956) Johnny Cash , I Walk the Line (also 1956) Eartha Kit singing Let's Fall in Love (recorded at some point in the 50s) also Just a Gigolo (Louis Prima, 1956) and You're the Top (recorded before the 50s but still a popular song).

Any of these any good?

Well all the Cole Porter songs were written by1951 and Mad About the Boy is very 1950s. And although it is sung by a woman it is a very gay song (don't know what you're writing or if that helps). It was originally sung by a man.

Also Dinah Washington, Mad about the Boy (I am trying to find out when that was recorded but it must be before 1963 because she died that year).
