Monday, 2 June 2008 10:10 pmSo. I've never learned to drive. I'm 25, and I have never taken a single driving lesson, or held a provisional license.
In the last few months, however, I've been kind of thinking about becoming an estate agent (I think you yanks call those realtors or something), because I like houses, like the idea of helping people find their home, and want to do a job that doesn't mean I'm stuck behind a desk 100% of the time. Since the market boom, there has been a massive upsurge in Negotiators required, and it has continued in the lettings market because people now can't get mortgages. (Yep, I really have been looking into it - I've been thinking about it since I was like, 17, to some extent.)
I'd be great at it, I reckon. Except for the fact I don't drive.
So, now I'm thinking about learning and I thought - hey, why not do a test online and see what my knowledge of traffic law is?
On my first ever, EVER attempt, without consulting any reference materials, I got 42/50. 43 is the pass mark - and there was at least one answer where I second-guessed myself and missed the right answer.
Now, if only I thought I'd be as good behind the wheel without any practise...
