I have to say, seeing all this footage of London and the icons and things really does make me almost-nearly miss London.

And then I remember the air is like soup and I miss it less.

But still! So much history running down those streets.

The commuter rail to Boston from Providence is like $8, and if I want to go fancy and quicker I take Amtrak for either $13 and up, depending on the time of day.

I wish I paid $0.50 for a cross-country trip. I'd go visit my sister in Idaho and make a side trip to Vancouver. Which, y'know, would cost $2.00 Canadian. ;)

Hehe. When we went to Chicago we were astonished that a train from the airport cost $2. At the time, the exchange rate was £1:$2.20.

In the UK, the same distance would have cost about £8-10.
