I have to say, seeing all this footage of London and the icons and things really does make me almost-nearly miss London.
And then I remember the air is like soup and I miss it less.
But still! So much history running down those streets.

on 2010-08-03 10:19 pm (UTC)Besides, even with a NRC, the train fare is expensive and it's chokingly dirty and I just... don't enjoy it; just the thought of it.

on 2010-08-03 10:24 pm (UTC)London makes me feel claustrophobic and grubby, but I spent so long living there and late at night, in the back streets you can almost feel the echo of all the people who have walked there over the centuries.
But mostly, it's a hell pit.

on 2010-08-03 11:01 pm (UTC)You must return to London. You must. There needs to be tea and cake and visits to the British Museum.

on 2010-08-03 11:27 pm (UTC)The British Museum is a must, as I did not get to go there before. Tea is good, cake is better, and can if I find any dorky tourist stuff that I somehow think is a good idea to buy, you can gently take it away from me and whack me on the nose.

on 2010-08-04 03:03 am (UTC)I wish I paid $0.50 for a cross-country trip. I'd go visit my sister in Idaho and make a side trip to Vancouver. Which, y'know, would cost $2.00 Canadian. ;)
